What we do

Tribest LLC is a software company based in Tokyo, Japan. We design and build applications for personal computers and smartphones, working on every part of a product ourselves — interaction design, implementation, and release.

Our focus is on tools that people use every day and rely on over long periods of time. That shapes how we build: we prefer software that keeps a person's data under their own control, that is honest about what it does and does not know, and that stays usable years after the first record is written.

MyBodyNote

MyBodyNote is an iOS app we are currently developing. It is a personal record book for the body: you note a symptom when it appears, follow how it changes over time, and keep track of everyday things around it — meals, medication, sleep, temperature, blood pressure, and so on.

Two ideas guide the design:

• Records stay on the device. There is no account and no server. Everything is stored locally, and the data leaves the phone only when the person exports it themselves.
• The app shows, it does not judge. It lays out what was recorded — as a chart, a list, or a PDF to bring to a clinic — without diagnosing, predicting, or claiming a cause. Reading the record is left to the person and their doctor.
